Lunch Box Ideas for Picky Eaters

If there’s one thing that I always dread when it comes to getting Uriah ready for school is packing his lunch. Since this is the first year he is going to school in person, I was mostly worried about how he would handle the transition. The last thing I was expecting was Uriah coming home from school with his lunch barely touched.

Queue the panic.

The inner perfectionist in me wants to be creating these amazing lunches, but with Uriah being picky, I’ve had to accept that won’t be happening. Instead, I’ve found a couple of easy lunch box ideas that he loves and that your picky eater will, too!

Lunch Box Ideas for Picky Eaters

Looking for some fresh lunch box ideas for your picky eaters? Here are a few ideas your kiddo will love!

Sandwich Roll-Ups

When it comes to sandwiches, the simpler, the better. Think small bites! One of Uriah’s favorite lunches is sandwich roll-ups. For the roll-up, I will do one type of meat and cheese on a tortilla, roll it up, and cut it into three small bites. I’ll finish off the lunch box with some small pickles, cheese itz, strawberries, and some M&Ms for dessert.

Mini Waffles

One of Uriah’s favorite foods is waffles and while they’re traditionally a breakfast food, I figured it would be a fun lunch surprise. On the days I pack waffles, I also include peanut butter, celery, blueberries, grapes, some cheese, and gummies.

Pizza Bites

Pizza bites were always a favorite of mine growing up and they’re a favorite of Uriah’s, too! Which is awesome because they make for a perfect lunch. When I pack pizza bites for Uriah, I usually include two, plus a few extra snacks. His favorite combo is beef jerky, a cheese stick, some popcorn, pineapple, and some M&Ms.
