Summertime is one of my favorite times of the year for many reasons, and summer sandals are high up on that list. There are so many fun options from espadrilles and lace-up sandals, to strappy options, there are so many cute pairs to pick from. If I had to pick one style that is my ultimate favorite though, I’d say it is the slide. This trusty style of sandal is easy to throw on and go, and a great way to elevate an outfit while still being comfortable.
And luckily, sandals are much more budget-friendly that shoes for warmer months. What this really means is that I have so many sandals and will never stop buying them! With summer in full swing, I wanted to share some of my favorite comfortable, stylish for summer that I recently added to my rotation.
Best Summer Shoes For Women
When it comes to purchasing a new pair of summer sandals, there are a few things I like to keep in mind. They should be comfortable and if planning on wearing them daily, they should be easy to chase after the boys in. They should also absolutely be affordable. Summer sandals get a lot of wear and while I like to splurge on a great pair of shoes here and there, they should be affordable since I’ll most likely want to buy a few new pairs. And lastly, they should be able to be worn with a variety of outfits! Whether I’m wearing them for school drop-off, date night, or a cookout, I want to be able to wear my sandals in a variety different ways. This is typically easy since I gravitate toward neutral colors, but always something to keep in mind!
One store I can always find sandals that fit these qualities is Target. Target can truly do no wrong, I don’t have to tell you that! Here are some of the best summer shoes for women that I’ve found this year!
Peal Sandals – I love that these sandals are very simple and neutral, but look more elevated. The pearl detailing is so cute, too! This sandal also features a memory foam insole so they’re actually comfortable and can be worn all day. Although, I wouldn’t walk miles in them! I’ve been pairing these with my favorite shorts and a t-shirt lately.
Sparkle Braid Sandals – This style of sandals has always been and will always be a favorite of mine. It’s simple but elevated and can be styled with anything! When I saw this sparkle version at Target, I knew I had to have them. These ones don’t have the memory foam like the first pair but they have a little wedge to them (but are still flat). They look especially cute with casual dresses!
Sparkle Knot Sandals – Y’all know how much I love a sparkle and even though I already picked up the previous pair, I had to have these ones, too! These ones feel much more elevated and chic and even though they’re under $30, they don’t look or feel like it! I’ll definitely be wearing these with some of my dressier date night looks for some comfortable sparkle.
White Ruched Sandals – Platform sandals are back in style and this mama couldn’t be happier! I love the look of a chunkier shoe, especially paired with more form-fitting clothing. The juxtaposition is just so good! I’ve been on the hunt for a good platform sandal that is versatile and when I saw these, I immediately added them to my shopping cart. They’re cute (they look so summery!), comfortable, and go with everything!
White Thong Sandals – If you’re looking for a sandal that has some height, can be dressed up or down, and is comfortable, these white thong sandals are it! The insole has a soft cushion so they’re great for wearing all day. I’m particularly excited to pair these with my favorite maxi dresses this summer for all of the cookouts we have on our calendar!
Which Type Of Sandals Are Most Comfortable?
While this really comes down to our sandal preferences, I find slide sandals and anything with a wedge the most comfortable. Both styles obviously have their pros and cons, but a couple of things I look for when purchasing either are:
- It’s wide enough for my foot, but not too wide that it’ll fall off
- A supportive insole that is either padded or has memory foam
- A thicker outer sole with a low (almost flat) heel to absorb shock and protect the foot
- The quality (quality over quantity, ladies!)
- Where I’ll wear them
- A supportive arch to avoid aches or blisters
What Sandals Go With Everything?
Depending on what sandals you already have in your closet, you can never go wrong with a neutral-colored (tan, black, white) slide sandal. They truly go with everything and can be dressed up or down depending on where your day will take you. Some of my favorite sandals right now that go with everything are these white ruched slides, these pearl sandals, and these white thong sandals. If you already have neutral sandals in your rotation, I can’t recommend getting a dressier sandal like this one or this one to add to your collection.
Don’t get discouraged when trying on different sandals because a sandal style that might work for me, might not work for you! It’s all about trying on different styles and different brands that work for you. This list is just a starting place of some of the best summer sandals. There are so many other great options out there!
