There’s nothing I love more than trying new beauty products and while I switch up the products I use quite frequently, my everyday makeup routine has always stayed the same. Having a go-to everyday makeup routine also makes it easy for me to get ready quickly. We all know how much of a struggle it can be to get ready with kids! Sure, it would be easier to not wear any makeup and wear my hair in a messy bun all day, but being ready for the day somehow makes me be more productive. Anyone else?

My Everyday Makeup Routine
For my everyday makeup routine, most of my products have been in rotation for quite a while now. Since I’m always on the go with the kids, having a good primer and foundation is key to getting my makeup to last all day.

Step By Step Everyday Makeup Routine
Sunscreen
I always start my makeup routine off by applying sunscreen, even if I’m not going to be outside. I love the bliss Block Star Daily Mineral Sunscreen from Target. It’s one of the only mineral sunscreens that I have tried that doesn’t feel heavy on my skin and doesn’t get cakey under my makeup.
Primer
If there is one product you incorporate into your makeup routine, make it this primer! I’ve been using this one for years and it’s truly the best. Perfect for normal, dry, or combination skin, it helps hydrate, smooth, and brighten the skin for a dewy, healthy-looking complexion. It also helps keep my makeup in place all day long!
Foundation & Concealer
Once I’ve applied sunscreen and primer, I apply concealer and foundation! I start by applying the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer under my eyes and to any blemishes before blending it in. Then I apply my foundation! I’m currently using the NARS Light Reflecting Advanced Skincare Foundation. It provides medium coverage, blends easily, and is super buildable, which is a must! I also love that it’s a makeup-skincare hybrid so not only does it blur and smooth the skin, it also helps with clarity.
Blush & Bronzer
I love a little bronzer as a contour! My two favorites right now are the GUERLAIN Terracotta Sunkissed Natural Bronzer and the Colourpop Sol Face & Body Bronzing Balm. Both provide a more pigmented contour and the bronzing balm can be used on your chest and body as well! For blush, I’ve been rotating through all of the colors in the Jaclyn Cosmetics Rouge Romance Matte Blush Palette. The palette features six shades in a silky-soft matte finish. They’re building and are long-wearing so they’re great for all-day color.
Eyes
My eye makeup routine is pretty straightforward – mascara and fake lashes. I’ve been using the Too Faced Better Than Sex Volumizing Mascara for YEARS! I’ve tried to switch it up but always come back to this one, it’s that good. For fake lashes, I’ve tried a bunch of brands but my go-to right now is Baddie B Lashes. I love how dramatic they are! Plus they’re affordable, easy to apply, reusable, and very lightweight.
Setting Powder
My days get pretty hectic and I usually don’t have enough time for a touch up so making sure my makeup lasts all day is key. To set my face makeup, I use the Jouer Cosmetics Soft Focus Hydrate & Set Powder. Not only does it help set my makeup, but it also helps smooth and blur for a flawless finish.
Skin Mist
The Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is one of the newest products in my rotation and it’s one of my favorites. This fine mist moisturizer can be used under or over makeup. I usually apply it at the end of my makeup routine to get that dewy, glowing look. It’s also great to use over makeup to replenish moisture to help prevent caking! It works for all skin types, but if you have oily skin, I’d recommend staying away from this one!
