Wow it’s hard to believe that Uriah’s first year of school is coming to an end. I was so nervous about him going to school but he had such a great school year and a wonderful teacher.
The end of the school year is a bittersweet time for parents as we reflect on how quickly our children have grown and the wonderful experiences they have had. As a parent, I always want to express my gratitude to the teachers who have played such a crucial role in shaping my child’s education and personal development. That’s why I decided to put together a cute and thoughtful DIY gift basket for Uriah’s teacher, and I wanted to share this idea with all of you.
Best End of School Year DIY Teacher Gift
This DIY gift basket is a way to show your child’s teacher that you recognize their hard work and dedication. It’s a simple yet heartfelt gesture that will surely bring a smile to their face.
What makes this gift such a great idea is the fact that you can customize each tub. Since it’s the end of the year, I thought it was important to go beyond school supplies. This is the perfect time to get creative with what you think the teacher really wants. To stick with the summer theme I got things that she might need to help enjoy her summer vacation.
There’s a variety of fun things you can fill inside the tub. Here’s what I used to create a summer-themed end-of-school-year teacher gift basket.
Basket or Container – Start with a small basket or a decorative container since I decided on a summer theme I got this Mainstays Clear Plastic Beverage Dispenser. It comes in several different patterns and is only $5.
Stainless Steel Stemless Wine Glass – From home to the beach, this stainless steel insulated wine glass is the best and any teacher will appreciate it! It’s under $40, keeps beverages long for hours, and comes in a bunch of colors.
eos Super Soft Shea Lip Balm Sticks – Lip balm and chapstick are one of those items that always get lost, making it the perfect gift. These eos lip balm sticks are the best and this pack of four is perfect for teachers.
Can Coolers – Everyone loves a can cooler and these ones are so cute! I love that they come as a set of four, making it easy to separate them into multiple gifts.
Gift Card – Who doesn’t love a gift card? I always love gifting an Amazon gift card to Uriah’s teacher any chance I get. Whether they use it for the classroom or for themselves, I know it’s going to go to good use.
Touchland Power Mist Hydrating Hand Sanitizer – Let’s face it: kids are gross and have SO many germs. This hand sanitizer is my favorite so I had to include it in this gift basket so Uriah’s teacher can keep her as protected as possible against germs.
Dry Shampoo – If you haven’t tried this dry shampoo yet, you’re missing out! I
Sparkling Prebiotic – Poppi is not only delicious and refreshing, but it’s also filled with gut health and immunity prebiotics to keep your immune system strong. Perfect for teachers!
eos Shea Better Hand Cream – Teachers are constantly working with their hands which means lots of washing and sanitizing. This hand cream will keep them moisturized and soft.
Evian Face Spray – This facial spray is the best, especially on hot summer days! Some of Uriah’s teachers work during the summer months so this is a great item for them to throw in their bags whether they’re at school or at the beach to cool down.
Remember, the most important aspect of this DIY gift basket is the thoughtfulness and appreciation behind it. Customize it to suit the teacher’s preferences and interests, and make it a reflection of the gratitude you feel for their hard work.
